Part B with Magaly Colimon will focus on self-taping performance/audition skills. Prerequisite: Recommended for actors who have taken a prior course with Magaly, a prior Acting with the Camera 1 class, OR who have some prior experience acting on camera.
Online Teaching Statement from Magaly Colimon: “Since most on-camera non-union gigs are cast online…We will focus on self-tape skills for the beginning actor. First, we will be reviewing the elements of a strong self tape – editing, shooting, equipment, angle, how to save your file with your name/project name etc. Then we will work on acting with a remote fellow actor. Next will be a process of students recording self tapes in class sessions one week, editing their favorite takes together for homework, and getting feedback on their final products the next week.”
