Public Conversation: Decolonizing Speech and Accent Training

Decolonizing Speech and Accent Training Event

Traditional systems for speech and accent training do not cater to all bodies. How can we create an equitable training space for international, BIPOC, and underrepresented voices, while also reframing how bodily training needs to be specific to the bodies that are enacting them?

Join us for a discussion on 21st century strategies for equitable speech and accent training with speech and dialect professionals Joy Lanceta Coronel, Josh Moser, Jacqueline Springfield, and Amy Mihyang Ginther. The talk will be moderated by Paul Pryce.

A discussion among the panel will be followed by an open Q&A with the audience.
