The Alan M. Bluestone Scholarship covers full tuition for a student to attend a full year of the Hagen Teen Intensive Sunday Acting Conservatory.

Established in memory of Alan M. Bluestone, a cherished member of the HB community, this scholarship is intended to encourage a young person’s interest in theater and lend critical support to emerging talent. A professional stage manager, Alan understood all aspects of the theater and shared with infectious enthusiasm his love and appreciation for its literature. Support is offered for a student to attend a full year (3 terms) of the Hagen Teen Intensive program free of charge.

WHAT IS THE HAGEN CORE TRAINING?

• An affordable full-time one-year Actor Training program taught by world-class faculty/practitioners
• An integrated progressive curriculum of essential classes: Acting Technique, Scene Study, Script Analysis, Movement, Alexander Technique, Voice and Speech
• Rooted in the advanced teachings of Uta Hagen, you will probe, practice, stretch, risk, fail, play truthfully and find the courage not to settle for cliché or imitation

What to expect from the Hagen Summer Intensive:
*A rigorous, integrated 6-week training that probes the practical applications of Uta Hagen’s approach to acting
*A faculty of master practitioners
*A direct, in-depth approach to your work and a safe, supportive, challenging environment
*To strengthen your craft and stretch all aspects of your instrument
*To complete the Intensive a stronger, more knowledgeable, more confident actor
