Fractured Atlas is a national non-profit organization that serves a community of over 250,000 artists and arts organizations. They offer a variety of programs and services that help artists strengthen the business side of their practice: fiscal sponsorship for fundraising; affordable insurance to mitigate risk; SpaceFinder, an online marketplace for performance and rehearsal venues; and Artful.ly, their business management software for artists.

Nathan Zebedeo is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied theatre at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. He helps artists and arts organizations across the country fundraise with the Fractured Atlas fiscal sponsorship program, which helps them access tax-deductible donations from individuals and grant funding. Before joining the company three years ago, Nathan self-produced plays as a member of Fractured Atlas. Previously, Nathan managed book signings for celebrity authors like Tina Fey and George R. R. Martin at the Barnes & Noble flagship store in Union Square.

More adventures and more countries as our theater stays one step ahead of the mayhem in the Middle East and North Africa!

First Floor Studio Performance Project Residency*
HB Studio is dedicated to training and practice for the theatre and to the ongoing artistic development of actors, directors, and playwrights. The Studio will, at intervals throughout the year, make workshop performance space available in our First Floor Studio for the development of creative projects that further the training and artistic practices fostered at HB. The Studio is not a producing organization, nor should these presentations be construed as “showcases” or “productions.” Rather, we offer an opportunity for associated artists to collaborate on experimental projects, to be shared among peers and colleagues, for constructive critical feedback and mutual growth.

*Note – This Performance Project Residency will be performed in the HB Playwrights Theatre

LITTLE THEATRE, an OBIE-winning monthly performance showcase at Dixon Place founded 15 years ago, is an intimate showcase for experimental performance outside of commercial considerations. Little Theatre is intentionally free-form and interdisciplinary. Shows currently consist of four 15-minute pieces. Little Theatre favors work-in-process as opposed to excerpts of finished work. Guest speakers: Curators Jeffrey Jones, Normandy Sherwood & Frank Boudreaux.

THIS/THAT is a newly founded bi-monthly evening of surprising performance hosted by a house band at The Brick Theater. With the tenants of inclusivity and eclecticism, each event features a lottery, to eschew curatorial authority, in which 3-4 artists are chosen to perform throughout the evening. The series intends to bridge the myriad NYC art and performance communities (uptown/downtown, visual/aural, experimental/traditional, textual/physical, etc.) in an unpredictable and inviting forum. Guest speakers: Curators Adam Burnett & Georgina Escobar.
