Teen Performance Lab: Devising a play

All classes will be held online via Zoom until we are able to resume classes at the Studio.

Sign up for either Part A or Part B independently (5 weeks each), or join both for the full 10 week term. You may join Part B without taking Part A.

Directed by Daniel Carlton –

Actor, Director, Playwright, Storyteller and Teacher Daniel Carlton directs this online performance lab for teens.

Let’s devise a play online! What does that mean? Devised Theater is a process of collaborating as a group to create an original show. How will we do that? Theater games, improvisations, monologues, and scenes will help us to get there. Your ideas, stories, and experiences will be our material. We’ll turn it all into a public showing at the end.

This is an opportunity to create a show about the topics that matter to you most, while practicing and developing your skills as an actor, performer, artist and collaborator.

This is a 10-week performance lab that will meet in two 5-week parts (Part A & Part B). The public showing will take place at the end of Part B, so it is recommended that you sign up for both parts. However, if you are only able to attend for 5 weeks, you are welcome to choose either Part A or Part B.
