Presented by George Bartenieff & Paul Pryce.
A scene study workshop focused on the works of Cuban-American playwright María Irene Fornés, a pioneer in the feminist and avant-garde theater. Her works explore personal and social issues on themes of feminism, poverty, and power, using strikingly simple language and innovative forms. Through monologues and scenes, you will explore the truth and relevance of Fornes’ plays, including THE CONDUCT OF LIFE, THE DANUBE, MUD, SARITA, and more.
Led by George Bartenieff, who produced and performed in several of Fornes’ original productions, which were directed by the playwright herself.
