Presented by Larry Owens –
To be held in-person:
In this one-day master class, artists choose their own adventure. The industry is more multifaceted than ever. Use this class to interface with Larry Owens (Abbott Elementary, A24’s Problemista, A Strange Loop), the artist the New York Times has called “a divine multihyphenate.” Before class, students will choose an area to build their skills across the disciplines of on-stage/theatrical scene work, on-stage/theatrical monologue, on-camera scene work, on-camera monologue, or acting through song (students must provide their own track). Watch as fellow pupils hone their craft across genres and witness how these seemingly disparate techniques can sometimes coalesce. And of course, we will find the joy in acting.
Please bring to the workshop a prepared scene, monologue, or song that you would like to explore. A videographer will be provided for those interested in working on on-camera scenes or monologues.
