Welcome to the 21st century, when auditioning can be done in the comfort and safety of your own living room. Self-taping is the new way to submit for most short films and web/TV series. So don’t get ripped off by someone asking for money to self-tape you. Learning to self-tape on your own is not that hard and not that expensive. In this course you will learn about equipment you need and techniques to use to make your self-tapes as good as they possibly can be.
This course is comprised of a little bit of talking, and a little bit of do-it-yourself-ing. It will take you from planning your audition all the way through to uploading it onto the internet. After a short lecture (bring a pen and paper to take notes) and some demonstrations, this course will involve you doing your own self-tape in class in a safe and supportive environment.
Feel free to come with a short monologue for auditioning with, otherwise some copy will be made available to you.
