Tennessee Williams Scene Study

PRESENTED BY: AUSTIN PENDLETON –

To be held online via Zoom:

Rehearsed scenes from the works of Tennessee Williams are critiqued and developed in class. Scenes may be drawn from any of Williams’ plays.

In preparation for this workshop, you are encouraged to read the playwright’s plays — any of your choosing — and are invited to bring in a monologue for the first day of class.

You are also recommended to read, but not required, John Lahr’s biography of Tennessee Williams, Tennessee Williams: Mad Pilgrimage of the Flesh.

Note: As many scenes as time allows will be presented each week, but it is not expected that all participants will present every session. For a deeper dive into the work, the full 10 weeks (Part A & B) are recommended.

*Please review registration prerequisites before enrolling (on the right-hand side of this page on desktop or below on mobile).

Sign up for either Part A or Part B independently (5 weeks each), or join both for the full 10 week term. You may join Part B without taking Part A:
