Offered by popular demand, this one-day Business of Acting workshop will give you tactics for navigating and building your professional acting career and enable you to put your focus where it matters most.

  • Communicating with Industry Professionals
  • Creating and Managing an Online Presence
  • Tools of the Trade (including Building a Reel)

This course is team taught by Los Angeles based Actress and Audition Coach Wade Barrett and New York City Broadway and Off-Broadway Producer Fran Kirmser, and offers varied perspectives from coast to coast, stage to screen, in the trenches and on the other side of the table.

WADE BARRETT

Wade Barrett is a bi-coastal actress, working on stage and screen. Recent credits include the upcoming series HIGHTOWN on Starz, Netflix’s WHAT/IF starring Rene Zellweger, ABC’s HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, and TRUtv’s ADAM RUINS EVERYTHING, among others. She also works in national and regional commercials as both an actor and VO talent. Recent commercial credits include Turbo Tax, Walmart, Ross, and Allergen. Acting is her passion, and she absolutely loves sharing her craft with other actors via coaching in all areas of the craft. FRAN KIRMSER

Fran Kirmser is a two time Tony Award winning Broadway Producer who began producing theater in the West Village. She currently serves as Executive Producer for the film Lombardi with Legendary Pictures that originally hailed from a theatrical series she conceived and produced on Broadway. Broadway credits include: AUGUST WILSON’S RADIO GOLF, HAIR, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, MAGIC/BIRD, BRONX BOMBERS, WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF. She is the author of the book A Life In Dance~a practical guide, and currently produces a political series for stage, AMERICAN SCOREBOARD. Teaching credits include master classes at The New School, New York University, Columbia, Pace University, and Commercial Theater Institute.
