Committed Directors will continue to sharpen their directing skills through exploration of material they’ve chosen.
In the Advanced Directors Lab understanding dramaturgy is key, as it informs and drives each element in the scenes the Director has taken on.
Directors will cast Actors, drawn from the HB Acting community. Directors will work with Actors on Character Development, including Backstory, Motivation and Subtext.
Some rehearsal time will be provided in the Workshop. Outside rehearsals are required, the logistics of which are to be arranged by the Directors.
In this Advanced Directors Lab, we will work at a fast pace.
The Advanced Directors Lab will culminate in a final In-Lab Rehearsal.
