*HB Studio’s policy and required protocols are subject to change. Please check this page regularly for updated information on in-person activity at HB Studio.

Vaccinations

For your protection and for ours, we are mandating vaccinations for all students enrolling in on-site classes at HB Studio this fall. Requests for accommodation for religious or medical reasons will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

If you are not vaccinated and are interested in training with HB Studio, please consider our online classes.

When enrolled in an in-person class, to verify your Vaccination Status you must:

  1. Email a picture of your vaccination card or a screenshot of your NYS Excelsior pass or NYC COVID SAFE app to registration@hbstudio.org no later than 24-hours before the first session of class begins.
  2. Bring proof of vaccination in-person to your first day of class (NYS Excelsior pass, NYC COVID SAFE app, or Vaccination Card with photo ID)

Pre-registration

Pre-registration for all in-studio classes is required no later than 24-hours before the first session of class begins. Registration for all online and in-person classes will take place online.

Upon enrolling in an in-person class, we require proof of vaccination (a picture of your vaccination card or a screenshot of your NYS Excelsior pass or NYC COVID SAFE app) to be emailed to registration@hbstudio.org no later than 24-hours before the first session of class begins.

On-site protocols

HB Studio requires all students to be masked when on the premises at HB Studio, except when presenting or performing work in class.

All those present onsite must adhere to physical distancing measures.

Students, faculty, and staff will be required to complete health screenings for symptoms before entering the buildings each day.

Props and equipment that are used will be required to be cleaned immediately after use by those that use them.

Feeling ill? Please stay home to care for yourself and others.

Audits & Registration Policies

Audits of in-person classes are not offered at this time. We offer the opportunity for new and existing students to audit online classes in order to observe the instructor’s teaching style and the culture of the class before making the commitment to register.

We do not accept refunds, credits, withdrawals, or transfers after 24 hours before the first class, except in the case of serious illness or withdrawal for military service. Please take a moment to review HB Studio’s registration policies

Financial Aid Available

HB Studio is committed to providing access to those with financial challenges. For artists that demonstrate talent and commitment but lack the means to study, HB Studio offers two types of financial aid opportunities: scholarships and work study.
