If you are well advanced in your technique, HB Performance Labs provide opportunities for you to participate in the development and performance of Studio works-in-progress, guided by HB faculty or guest artists. Open by audition, participation is free of charge. Labs meet three times weekly over 5-7 weeks, with public sharing — performances or open rehearsals — in the final week.
Lerner and Loewe Performance Lab
This autumn the HB Studio Performance Lab will be a celebration of the work of musical theater writers Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. The Lab will feature a company of actors from the HB Musical Theater Studio Practice program and will be directed by Robert McQueen.
The evening will include scenes and songs from Lerner and Loewe’s most iconic musicals, such as My Fair Lady and Camelot as well as earlier, lesser known works, including The Day Before Spring.
Performances will be held in November, details forthcoming. Please join us for an evening that honors two of America’s most important musical theatre voices.
This program is made possible with support from the Frederick Loewe Foundation.
