For playwrights who have a working craft, this advanced workshop focuses primarily on content, structure and criticism. It offers a place to try out skills and develop new material. The emphasis is on writing and rewriting scenes, one-act and full-length plays, with class readings as the goal. You present works in progress at the end of the term and selected 10-minute projects may be shown in an annual short play festival.
Decisions regarding assignment and selection of the End-of-Term Projects are at the discretion of instructors, based on the merit of the work in class, and are by no means guaranteed.
