“I was trained first by Herbert Berghof then went on to get my MFA from Yale Drama.
As a teacher my goal is to build your confidence as a performer by connecting you to the sources outside of yourself whether it be a scene partner, the audience, or the images you imagine. By focusing the energy of your voice through action in song or just speaking verse, you will breathe more deeply into the character and find new freedom as an artist.”
Bio:
Stephen DeRosa is best known for playing the Baker in the Broadway revival of INTO THE WOODS as well as Eddie Cantor on HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE. Other Broadway credits include: GARY: A SEQUEL TO TITUS ANDRONICUS, ON THE TOWN, BETRAYAL, THE NANCE, HAIRSPRAY, TWENTIETH CENTURY, HENRY IV, THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER.
