Peter Jones is an award winning New York City ballroom dancer, instructor, and actor. He has performed thousands of times in NYC, regionally, in London and Dublin and done dozens of National and regional tours. Faculty of the Michael Chekhov Studio, Broadway Theater Institute, and The Theater Workshop, faculty and Board of Director of the Manhattan Dance/Theater and Musical Mondays Theater Workshop. He has taught at Manhattan Dance, Fred Astaire and Pierre Dulaine’s dance studio, and has written, performed and directed off-Broadway NYC and regional shows, along with his own Shakespearean adaptations. As a First Dance choreographer, Peter’s created thousands of wedding dances, including those of Tony award winner Patina Miller (PIPPIN), Kenneth Cole and NBC’s MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT’s inaugural season’s Jamie and Doug.
He’s taught at at Cornell, Columbia, Barnard/Teachers College, at Midsummer Night’s Swing, NYC public schools and has choreographed, directed and performed with many innovative Youth Theater companies (Paper Bag Players, Theaterworks, Wings Children’s theater, and Barbara Schaap’s award winning Long Island theater workshop).
