Ashish Pant is an Indian filmmaker based in New York, where he teaches film. Ashish’s debut feature THE KNOT (ULJHAN), that he wrote and directed, recently played at several festivals across the world including Shanghai International Film Festival and Santa Barbara International Film Festival. THE KNOT was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Actor Awards at Shanghai International Film Festival and New York Indian Film Festival and won the Best Editing Award at Asian American International Film Festival in New York. THE KNOT was one of twenty works in progress selected for across the world for the “Goes to Cannes” section of Marche Du Film at Cannes Film Festival, 2020. Ashish completed his MFA in Film in screenwriting and directing from Columbia University in New York and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ashish is presently in development with a TV Series that he has written, set in the world of finance.
