Daniel Pearce most recently played Polonius in this past summer’s production of HAMLET in Central Park directed by Kenny Leon. It marked his 11th production with the Public Theater and his fourth production in the park. Other Shakespeare roles include playing Jacques for the Denver Center and Mercutio for the Acting Company. With a resume that includes many appearances on tv, film, and on and off broadway, Pearce continually returns to Shakespeare.
As a teacher, he has taught workshops at Berkshire Theatre Festival, Pittsburgh Public Theatre and Brooklyn College. He was Co-Director of Education with the Acting Company for their ’97-’98 tour teaching Shakespeare workshops at colleges and universities across the country. He also works as a monologue/audition coach helping actors with both classical and contemporary scenes.
