
Alex Ratner is a New York-based composer-lyricist, music director and arranger who recently music directed the Off-Broadway premieres of I LOVE MY FAMILY, BUT… (Soho Playhouse) and THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (Theatre Row). Credits include: WAR PAINT (Broadway), FAR FROM HEAVEN (Playwrights Horizons; Williamstown Theatre Festival), THE FLAMINGO KID (Hartford Stage).
Alex is a member of the BMI Workshop, and winner of the Jerry Harrington Award, as well as the Jean Banks Award for his ten-minute musical, SALAD DAYS (BMI Foundation). As an arranger, Alex adapted the score of CHILDREN OF EDEN, JR. for Music Theatre International, and wrote vocal arrangements as a member of the Yale Whiffenpoofs. B.A.: Yale.
