HB Playwrights Theatre seeks a Stage Management intern for the upcoming 10 Minute Play Festival: The Central Park Plays.
Production dates are as follows: Tech rehearsals 4/20 – 4/22. Performances 4/23 @ 8pm, 4/24 @ 8pm, 4/25 @ 2pm & 8pm, 4/26 @ 2pm. Strike follows final performance on 4/26. Intern would need to be available for all Tech rehearsals and performances.
The Stage Management internship is an excellent opportunity to develop Stage Management skills while working in a professional Off-Off Broadway theater environment with professional directors and actors. The 10 Minute play festival is an Equity Approved Showcase; the stage management intern does not need to be a member of AEA.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a large cast of actors and run crew. Stage Management intern would oversee the pre-show set up and the smooth transition between each of the plays. Other duties include running the light board, and calling the audio cues.
The Stage Management intern will report directly to the Production Manager. Training on the lighting board will be provided.
